Job Description:
Local Restaurant Group is looking for a dedicated, service-oriented, General Manager for its newest location in southern Orange County. The General Manager will be responsible for the business performance of the restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.

The General Manager, must be a leader to/supportive of all members of the team; encouraging excellence, ethics and personal growth. She/he must be willing to work in any area of the restaurant and be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences at all times.
She/he will ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining a positive reputation in the community.
Responsibilities carried out by the General Manager will vary depending on the day and circumstances, but usually include:
Business Responsibilities:
Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
Analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability.
Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development.
Setting budgets and/or implementing budgets set by senior management.
Planning and coordinating menus with the Executive Chef.
Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
Must be comfortable with P&L
Staff Responsibilities:
Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
Managing staff and providing them with feedback.
Leading by example and inspiring others to perform to the best of their ability
Recruiting, training and motivating staff.
Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's work, cleanliness and uniform standards.
Be a team player who is attentive, respectful and encouraging to all members of the team.
Additional Responsibilities:
Responding to customer compliments/complaints (in the restaurant, via email and social media).
Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations.
Advising customers on menu and wine choice.
Supporting community and charitable organizations.
Representing the company at community events etc.
Salary and compensation based on experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
