Strong attention to detail is required and the ability to quickly and accurately resolve discrepancies.

Summary:
Insurance Verification
Responsibilities:
Verify patient insurance coverage and determine primary and secondary insurance plans.
Coordinate benefits between primary and secondary insurance carriers to maximize reimbursement and minimize patient liability.
Review insurance policies, explanations of benefits (EOBs), and other relevant documents to determine coverage and benefits coordination rules.
Receive incoming mail from designated mailboxes.
Sort mail based on department, recipient or priority.
Scan insurance mail and upload into our systems and send to key stakeholders.
Payment Poster
Responsibilities:
? Daily cash reporting ? Cash posting using Excel/Access and company software programs ? Post denials to patient accounts in Billing System (Avea Office) ? Working knowledge of EOB's, EFT's and ERA's ? Balance payments posted back to the original deposit amounts ? Post some contractual adjustments to patient accounts ? Assist other projects as needed Job Type:
