Our postpartum retreats are designed to offer a dedicated sanctuary and the round-the-clock resources to support postpartum recovery and newborn care; our goal is to equip mothers and partners with the capacity and the knowledge for a successful transition into parenthood.
About the Role:
As we gear up for the launch of our first retreat at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach, we are looking for on-site postnatal care advocates to join the Ahma & Co team and provide expert recovery assistance and newborn care guidance to mothers and partners.
In this vital role, you will be providing real-time emotional, physical, and educational support for new mothers and their families, alongside our dynamic team of additional care experts.
This role would be ideal for a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, or nurse with a passion for inclusive, responsive, and evidence-based postpartum care to ensure a safe and comforting environment for our guests.
What We're Looking For:
Certification as a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, or nurse; or, equivalent experience in maternal and newborn care Concrete and successful experience in supporting families during the postpartum period Familiarity with evidence-based postnatal care practices Knowledge of breastfeeding/lactation support preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent time management skills Empathetic and patient, with a strong commitment to inclusive, responsive, and family-centered care Flexible and able to handle challenging situations with grace and patience Duties and

Personalized Family Support:
Offer emotional, physical, and educational support to mothers and their families.
Tailor support based on individual family needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
Health & Wellness Guidance:
Provide guidance on postnatal recovery, breastfeeding/lactation, newborn care, and maternal mental health.
Collaborate with our team of postpartum care experts and advocates to ensure comprehensive care and education.
Advocacy & Coordination:
Act as a liaison between the family and the retreat's broader service team.
Ensure all services provided align with the family's postpartum plan and overall wellness goals.
